Ileya Festival Gathering

The Ileya Festival Gathering is an annual occasion when members of the Onibon Family and the extended lineage come together to observe the sacred festivities of Eid al-Adha. It is a time of prayer, thanksgiving, and reunion, strengthening family bonds and reaffirming shared values through collective celebration and remembrance.
Onibon Day Celebration

The Onibon Day Celebration is the family’s principal annual gathering, bringing together descendants and extended family members from home and abroad. Held once each year, the event is marked by prayers, reflection, and fellowship, providing an opportunity for generations to reconnect, honour their ancestors, and renew the spirit of unity that defines the Onibon Family.
Community Development Outreach

The Community Development Outreach reflects the Onibon Family’s commitment to faith, education, and service. As part of this initiative, a Qur’an Quiz Competition is organised in memory of late family members, encouraging Islamic learning, youth engagement, and moral excellence within the wider community.
Kayo Kayo (Yauma Ashura)

Kayo Kayo is a significant Islamic observance in Eko Epe, closely linked to Yawm al-Ashura. The day is marked by prayers, fasting, charity, and communal reflection, observed in gratitude to Allah for protection, survival, and divine favour, in keeping with long-standing Islamic tradition in Epe.
Ojude Oba Festival

Ojude Oba is a major cultural festival celebrated to honour traditional authority, heritage, and communal unity. Members of the Onibon Family participate in the festival as part of their commitment to cultural identity and solidarity with the wider Yoruba community.
